Day 19 - Tauren town

Day 19

I used to raid heal lead wow (only a few will understand that sentence) years ago before I was doing career things and working in London a lot. Anyway my old raiding guild seem to be doing pretty well and I was nostalgic and did this tauren town doodle on my lunch break - 45mins.

Day 18 - bipedal mech

Day 18 - Oop, a few days behind in posting, I did this one after the thumbs, going to have to research joints more, i think that’s what sells these things, makes them look, solid and believable. Fun experiment.

Day9 - Dragon!

Fire dragon!

Quick one from lunch hour, miles from my comfort zone, and DeeJ decreed the thing must be made mostly of fire... every tried to define something that is mostly light and movement as forms? Was good fun, not sure at all about the results, but happy given the time.

Day 8 - dressing room

Thought I'd see if i learnt anything from those film screens... More work needed I think, tomorrow back to fantasy and monsters to balance this, maybe A DRAGON.

I can tell you exactly what the problem is. Approaching an image without a clear enough visual idea of the central components and lighting leads to you working out too much on the canvas. The result in this case is too many things are drawn locally and not painted as they would be represented by the light source. Next time!

Learnt quite a lot about colour in this one.

Day 4 - black triangle hanger

Half study from an old photo I found somewhere on tumblr, gave it a twist.

I considered a vimana, but went for the classic black triangle UFO.

Day 3 - Sci fi

The materials tanker in the foreground is designed for shipment of needed materials from refinement posts to bases. It's delta-wing esk underside makes it able to perform fast atmospheric entry and exit, meaning it's a very versatile shipping option. This ship the 'Euphrates' often performs clandestine operations for seemingly innocent fronted consortiums for governments wishing to get logistics done on the quiet.

Inspired by Adam Baines and Yip yeoh to go sci fi!

Daily sketch Feb - Day 1 - Urbanfox

OKAY, I’m going to do a sketch everyday this month, I’m sure I can manage… Here is day 1, the urbanfox, tried to redesign an old character design to feel a bit more individual... So it's patchwork cloak for this new costume sketch.
